Review of Frozen

Frozen (2013) is an extraordinary animated musical film directed by Chris Buck who also directed Tarzan; and Jennifer Lee. It won the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature film and won an Oscar for the best song. It is considered the best Disney animated musical since 1999. when the most popular Disney films were released.

Elsa, princess of Arendelle, possesses a power for creating ice and snow. When she and her sister Anna were younger, Elsa accidentally hurt Anna while they were playing. Elsa is isolated from Anna in order to learn how to control her powers. On Elsa's coronation day, she loses control over her powers when Anna wants to marry Prince Hans although she met him that day. Elsa leaves to live in isolation when she unleashes eternal winter on her kingdom. Anna is determined to find her sister and she meets a mountain man Kristoff and his reindeer Sven. The group experiences various adventures and they encounter Olaf, Anna and Elsa's hilarious childhood snowman.

The animation is a marvellous combination of CGI and traditional hand drawn animation. Frozen has an exceptional voice cast: Idina Menzel as Elsa, a famous Broadway star with Jonathan Groff, her colleague on Glee who voiced Kristoff. Anna was voiced by Kristen Bell who is famous for her role in Veronica Mars. Let It Go, a song performed by Idina Menzel, is the most popular.

To sum up, Frozen is a must-watch film for people of all ages. Seriously, who doesn't love Disney?
